General questions about IMAP Institute:
Why create IMAP Institute?
Access to factual information leads all parties involved in a given process to a better solution. The Internet is the perfect medium for exchanging information; however, it is so vast in its storage capability that a smart way to search, access and retrieve the information is required. Because CEQA and sustainable planning related information is highly specialized, accessing it requires highly specialized tools. IMAP Institute provides these tools.

What is IMAP Institute?
Institute is a suite of Internet tools designed to answer the need for easier access to CEQA and sustainability planning-related information. There are currently two tools: CEQApost, a way to get information onto the Internet; and CEQAmap, a way to get information from the Internet.

Both CEQApost and CEQAmap are operational.

Who developed IMAP Institute?
IMAP Institute is the creation of Dean Coker and Don Ritter. Mr. Coker is a planner with 32 years experience in the Great Lakes, New England and California. Coker also published value added environmental information while practicing in New England. Mr. Ritter has extensive technical and project management experience working on public and private development projects resolving complex CEQA compliance and sustainability planning issues. This unique combination led to the development of the suite of tools found on this web site.

Please feel free to contact Don to discuss how these tools can work for you or to offer suggestions on how to improve them.
